A small environmental engineering company, with high growth potential, seeks a highly competent Facilities Engineer and Project Manager to work in the Long Beach Area on an innovative waste management project, and to support new project developments.
The successful candidate must have very strong people skills in order to effectively interact with the client and to effectively supervise support staff.
Your job responsibilities will include: 1) On-site management of a deep well injection operation at the Terminal Island Sanitation Plant, including direct supervision of several field operators and mechanics, equipment maintenance and design enhancements, and cost control; 2) hands-on operations and mechanical support as may be needed; and 3) Design and Construction Management support for new injection facilities, including piping layout, electric drive pump selection, and well completion design.
Minimum Job Requirements Include:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering
2. Very strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Project, and Powerpoint
3. Excellent communication skills and supervisory skills
4. Minimum five years experience in field or plant operations, including some supervision

2. Experience with well drilling and completion operations, and/or
3. Civil or mechanical design and construction experience (design drawing, permits, construction management)
