Logistics Customer Service Rep

Multi-tiered consumer products company in Southern California is seeking a Logistics Customer Service Representative to interact directly with distributors, business units, and third party logistics partner. Overall responsibilities include coordination of all tasks related to distribution inquiries, product availability, distributor orders, and customer support.




Major achievement deliverables include:


1) Distributor Customer Support: resolve inquiries related to orders, returns, shipments, products, claims, credit memos and customer concerns; initiate carrier track and trace; investigate and resolve problems through root cause analysis using various reports and date to resolve distributor concerns; montor and provide status of critical shipments and ensure on time delivery; interact with key personnel to monitor and develop process to ensure the timely and accurate processing of orders and shipments; sales order entry into company's ERP system; provide customer support to change or cancel existing orders.


2) Distributor Support: create and maintain customer master data in company's operational systems; ensure all transactions are properly entered and maintained within the relevant system.


3) Operations Procedures and Compliance: ensure all logistics and distributor service level agreements are updated and communicated in a timely manner to distributors; coordinate with logistics partner claims department to ensure all claims are processed and resolved timely; provide management recommendations to improve customer support levels


4) Miscellaneous Operations Support: provide on-site support as required for annual physical inventory and audits; provide logistics support as needed; provide statistical reporting and analysis as needed; create documentation and procedures related to logistics policies and procedures.




Knowledge and Skills:


1) 2-5 years experience in customer service positions related to supply chain and logistics operations


2) Basic knowledge of logistics and materials management function within SAP or a comparable ERP system


3) Basic analytical skills with Microsoft Excel experience


4) Strong organizational and problem-solving skills


5) Outstanding customer service skills


6) Excellent written and oral skills


7) Must be willing to assume additional tasks outside job description (as needed)


8) The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in a related field relevant to the position requirements
