The nation's #1 online relationship service is seeking a Senior WordPress Developer to work with our engineering team in Pasadena. You will be responsible for developing, updating, and enhancing eHarmony's WordPress-based corporate blog (http://www.eharmony.com/blog/). This is a 3 to 6 month contract initially with the potential for extension or conversion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and enhance the corporate blog
• Develop functional features from wireframes and mockups
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and application engineers to refine and improve the user experience
• Work with Quality Assurance to test functional product features
• Follow industry trends with regard to features and techniques

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Expert in WordPress platform
• Advanced in WordPress templating
• Experience with Wordpress Plugin API
• Understanding of AJAX frameworks, XML and JSON
• Experience with PHP and MySQL
• Ability to take mockups and create high-performance web pages that meet the design and technical specifications following accepted best practices for accessibility and performance
• Basic proficiency in source code management practices
• Basic knowledge of version control tools such as Subversion
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-effort, dynamic work environment
