Partnerships to Uplift Communities (PUC) is a non-profit charter school management organization designed to significantly increase college entrance and graduation rates for underserved students in Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley. PUC operates a growing network of small, public charter schools and will create more schools in high-need communities in coming years.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain and administer the student information system, while ensuring the integrity.
Plan and implement comprehensive backup procedures.
Document and maintain current database data dictionaries and schemas.
Modify and document third-party application source-code to comply with district needs.
Create, modify, or implement student records and business operations databases and related tracking and reporting programs.
Ensure security and confidentiality of data and critical systems on the network.
Oversee and troubleshoot student information management system embedded email systems and web servers.
Perform regular reviews of various system activity logs to determine potential problems, trends and ensure system health is properly maintained.
Manage the day to day functions of the data team as needed.
Responsible for reporting.
Provide various support throughout the organization.
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education:
BA/BS degree in Statistics, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field of study.
Familiarity with data analysis is required.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Must have excellent communication and writing skills.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to troubleshoot and be proactive about future/unforeseen challenges.
Strong people skills, and the ability to handle customers effectively with analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to handle multiple priorities (multi-task) and adapt to change.
Ability to grasp issues and evaluate the situation at hand in order to make rapid decisions.
Working experience in the K-12 education industry is a strong plus.
Cross-platform computing experience is desirable (Microsoft Windows and Mac).
Knowledge of PowerSchool setup is highly desirable.
Proficiency in HTML, and Java Scripting a plus.
Ability to travel between ten schools between Northeast Los Angeles and Northeast San Fernando Valley (must posses a Valid Drivers License).

Salary range is based on experience and education.
