Sr. Software Developer/Programmer Analyst (FotoKem Industries, Inc. - Burbank, CA) Develop media and entertainment software solutions for emerging digital post production projects including film, video, and tapeless formats, hard drives, and the new generation of camera technologies. Analyze, coordinate, and migrate to new technologies and hardware to support business base. Liaise with directors, producers, and in-house talent to understand artistic, special effect, and ultimate imagery goals in order to plan, write software code, coordinate the process, and ensure satisfaction of final product. Provide custom digital post production solutions to meet the varied demands of a diversity of products used in capturing images other than traditional film. Design, develop, and implement unique software solutions, identifying areas of shared solution sets amongst differing digital media, film, video, and tapeless production processes.
Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 3 years of experience developing, creating, and modifying software applications utilizing Java, SQL, C++, C#, .Net, HTML, and, XML. Must have experience with the following: media asset management design; film and video metadata; media playback; and, encoding.
