Bored with the same fitness routine? Everyone wants to incorporate that all important cardio into their life, but many have trouble keeping themselves motivated to go to the gym Tennis is a game of intermittent bouts of high intensity. It builds up the heart rate, lets it go down, and then builds it up again. Sprinting toward the net, racing back to the baseline, and suddenly stopping to get into position puts significant strain on your muscles and abs. I firmly believe the most efficient and enjoyable way to learn and improve in tennis is to play in game situations. Staying true to my philosophy, I have created a number of unique workouts that combines the best qualities of a traditional tennis lesson, cardio tennis and a hitting partner.

I offer a variety of services such as rallying, match play, basket feeding/ instruction, agility/strength training with dumbbells as well as personal fitness regimens. A private, one on one lesson will have you & I playing competitively in a real game environment where we keep score and play full sets. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced player, I have a lesson specifically formatted to your level. I also offer group instruction that combines the playing of points with an assortment of drills that keep the feet moving and the heart pumping. You can bring friends and family or I can set you up with other students.

My job is not to blow the ball by you, but to place the ball in challenging spots that you can reach. We'll work on your speed, strength, and stamina - the three most important attributes that define any athlete. You're guaranteed a great one hour cardio workout and the opportunity to work on every stroke in the game, including all of the groundstrokes, variations of the volley, and the serve. I'll also stop the action periodically to give you tips on your stroke and other useful corrections to work on, and think about while playing. It's a great way for both men and women of all ages and abilities to learn and play the game.

The goal is to turn that high backhand into a work of art, and to feel the overwhelming sense of accomplishment upon hitting the perfect backhand on the dead run just once. It's the satisfaction of returning a well hit serve in the corner of the box that will make this a workout you will look forward to for a lifetime.

If you have a court, I'll come to you; if you don't have access to a court, I will try to make arrangements at one of my house courts or at a convenient location for you. Dana Dane Tennis is based in West Hollywood, and provides services to Beverly Hills, Bel-Air, Brentwood, Santa Monica, Encino, Studio City as well as other areas of Los Angeles. If you don't own a racquet, I always have an assortment of quality brands and sizes for you to try.

Rates for the one on one private instruction vary, $40 - $70 for a one hour lesson, depending on skill level and location. Rates for classes are as follows:

2 players - $35 / player

3 players - $30 / player

4 players - $25 / player

5 players - $20 / player

6 players - $18 / player

I also offer a price reduction if you book at least 4 lessons in advance. Thank you for checking out the site, and please feel free to call or email me with any questions.

Students may reserve classes by calling 323.600.4466 or online at danadanetennis@gmail.com.
